What a great Father’s Day!  We all enjoyed a beautiful day filled with frisbee and family.  I was glad to see that people invited their families (Brookers, Beatys, Goodalls, and Bonks) to come out and enjoy the day.  My son Charlie sure did have fun throwing frisbees with Jeff’s son, Evan.

Two rounds of disc golf were played with a lunch break in between.  The Family teams played best shot both rounds, while Open and Am played alternate shot first round (it wasn’t that bad, was it?) and best shot the second.  It really made for an exciting finish in the Open division (*YBS won in a playoff).  The Family race was a tight one, too with Red Dawn edging out the Sorensen Barrage on the last hole and taking home the trophy.

We had burgers and hot dogs (complements of Baker’s) for lunch while we played the first round of the yard games, Polish Horseshoes and Kanjam.  Semi-finals and finals were played after the second round of golf.  It was a YBS sweep with them defeating Randomnade to take the Kanjam and Red Dawn to take the Polish.  They won 2 Gateway t-shirts and 2 wizards for their efforts.

My friend Will from Lincoln was a HUGE help with registration, yard games, and lunch.  As a non-competitive discer, it was super cool for him to come out and help.  Thanks again to everyone that came out to spend the day with us.  I look forward to seeing this event grow for years to come!
